Weekend in Nature

I got half of a bookmark done over the weekend for the "One Bookmark a Month" challenge on the Tatting Forums.  There was too much to enjoy outside!

It was a beautiful, perfect weekend in Minnesota - temperatures right about 70 degrees during the day, 50 degrees overnight.  It's the beginning of Fall - my favorite time of year.  We enjoyed the weekend in this little cabin in a State Park about 250 miles south of the Canadian border, and about 100 miles from the South Dakota border.  We were hiking and relaxing here:

Hope your weekend was as relaxing as mine!

  1. Yes, pictures say a thousand words & prove why you didn't get your bookmark done as you had hoped. But it's ok. Cause I don't know too many who would be able to where you was. Glad you had a relaxing time. You needed it.

  2. Nice way to unwind. The cabin looks cozy.....the wildlife, the lake, the untouched landscape and the bonfire have been captured so well by your camera. Thanks for sharing!

  4. That's my kind of getaway weekend! Ours was very busy, but enjoyable. I would have much preferred relaxing in a setting such as this!

  5. You took some lovely pictures! I'll bet it was much better in person : ) Thanks for sharing. I, too, can see why you didn't get much tatting done.
