Want matching fabric for Frivole's motifs I showed a couple of posts ago? Kathy has pointed out on my last post that some fabric is still available at Let's Sew Quilt Shop if anyone is interested!
I'd love to see what others might do with this fabric - I just can't think of anything other than bags, HA!
What fun fabric, but at the moment bags are all I can think of😁
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. I had been looking for more of this fabric!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get what you need - I’d love to see what you’ll do with it!
DeleteWhen Kathy and I bought the fabric designed by Arlene Linton, Kathy made a vest to wear when we demonstrate tatting (lacemaking, now that she's expanded into bobbinlace). I had intentions of doing the same -- just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh! That’s a great idea ☺️
ReplyDeleteGlad you got the word out about the fabric! Although I'm not the 'Kathy' mentioned by Lady Librarian above, it is a great idea to make a vest, especially to wear to tatting demonstrations! I'll definitely give it some thought! I notice that Arlene Linton does some amazing interpretations of fancy lace!
ReplyDeleteA key to the designer of this fabric is the name 'My Mind's Eye' (printed in the selvage), which is a group of artisans whose designs seem to be oriented toward paper and scrapbooking and more recently, fabric. I just can't pin down which artist is responsible for this particular fabric, manufactured by Riley Blake Designs. The world of fabric design and manufacture is a complete mystery to me! I will try to contact Riley Blake Designs, which should be interesting!
Hi again! Just wanted you to know I've just now discovered who designed the fabric and will comment about it very soon. I have to rush off now to get to our favorite restaurant for breakfast! I'm hoping to contact the designer! I'm amazed that you found the fabric when you did, and so glad again that you brought it to our attention! Otherwise most of us would never have been aware of its existence!
